Hamburgh Holidays Parade

The Hamburgh Holidays Parade is the Village of Hamburg’s official kickoff for the holiday season, and we can't wait to welcome you for the 2023 season. Scroll down for details or click here to register. “Hamburg Believes” is our yearly parade theme, and we regularly feature over 70 spectacular and talented contingents. We are excited to welcome the parade back again in 2023! The parade will be held on Saturday, November 25th at 11am. Please enjoy these pictures from years past!

Parade Details

The deadline to register is Saturday, November 18th. If you have any special requests of lineup placement (i.e. animals who can not be near loud music), please include those requests in the form. 

 

Please familiarize yourself with the Parade Day Details and Rules below to ensure a smoother flow on Parade Day.

 

PARADE DAY DETAILS

10:15 am: Line up- All organizations/businesses signed up for the parade will receive an email with the parade placement list by Friday, November 24th. 

 

Upon arrival on Parade Day, if you are unsure of your placement number, there will be check-in for your placement on the Union Street side of Union Pleasant Elementary School parking lot. Hamburg Holiday Committee members will be on hand to assist with line-up.

 

11:00 am: Step off - the official route begins at Center and Main Streets, so contingents will line up will be on Center St., proceeding left down Main Street, left down Buffalo Street, ending at Buffalo Street and Pleasant Ave.

There will be Village staff directing floats and large vehicles where to go after the parade has finished.

DURING THE PARADE

If your organization includes a performance, please note that there will now be THREE locations for you to perform. Performances will be in front of Rise Fitness, The Grange Community Kitchen and The Palace Theater. If you are performing, we ask that you provide your own music and speaker - and to please note on your sign up form that you will have a performance.

 

There WILL NOT be an after parade gathering in Village Square parking lot. 

 

The Parade will end on Union Street at the municipal parking lot entrance. We encourage you all to enjoy all of the shops and restaurants the Village has to offer!

 

If the parade is canceled for any weather related reason, you will be notified by email no later than 8am the morning of the parade.

 

It is strongly recommended that groups carry a sign/banner.

RULES:

1. If your organization is passing out candy or treats along the parade route, CANDY IS NOT TO BE THROWN INTO THE CROWD. Candy should either be handed to parade spectators directly, or rolled towards them. This is to ensure the safety of babies and children.

 

2. Groups may not include anyone dressed as Santa or Mrs.Claus; there is only one, and the Parade Committee has already arranged for their appearance in our parade.
