Parade Details

Timeline:

●        10:15 am: Line up- All organizations/businesses signed up for the parade will receive an email with the parade placement list by Friday, November 25th.

If you do not know your placement number, there will be check-in for your placement on the Union Street side of Union Pleasant Elementary School parking lot. Hamburg Holiday Committee members will be on hand to assist with line-up.

●        11:00 am: Step off- The Parade begins at Center and Main Streets, line up will be on Center St., proceeding left down Main Street, left down Buffalo Street, left on Union St, and ending at the Municipal Parking Lot Entrance on Union. There will be Village staff directing floats and large vehicles where to go after the parade has finished.

  • If your organization includes a performance, please note that there will now be THREE locations for you to perform. Performances will be in front of Rise Fitness, The Grange Community Kitchen and The Palace Theater. If you are performing, we ask that you provide your own music and speaker - and to please note on your sign up form that you will have a performance.

  • There WILL NOT be an after parade gathering in Village Square parking lot.

  • The Parade will end on Union Street at the municipal parking lot entrance. We encourage you all to enjoy all of the shops and restaurants the Village has to offer!

Please note:  Please keep routines or performances brief, and limit them to the THREE designated areas: Rise Fitness on Main Street, The Grange on Main Street, and The Palace on Buffalo Street, in order to eliminate the gaps along the route. Also, it is strongly recommended that groups carry a sign/banner.

RULES:

1.       If your organization is passing out candy or treats along the parade route, CANDY IS NOT TO BE THROWN INTO THE CROWD. Candy should either be handed to parade spectators directly, or rolled towards them. This is to ensure the safety of babies and children.

2.       Groups may not include anyone dressed as Santa or Mrs.Claus; there is only one, and the Parade Committee has already arranged for their appearance in our parade.

We are so excited to kick off the holiday season this year, we hope to have you and your organization part of this very special event!
